Reservoir
simulators allow us to view both chemical and physical processes underground
inside a reservoir formation. An optimized operational design can be
achieved by a good numerical reservoir simulation, which has been proven
economically vital. Conventionally, pore volume is assumed to be unchanged,
which cannot be used adequately in many field environments, particularly
during the enhanced oil recovery and when a large porosity exists in
formations under high reservoir pressure at great depth.
